Path | East Wenatchee, WA | 2018
A decade ago this path was little more than a deer track weaving through grass and brush. But deer are efficient creatures; they know the shortest route between two points. So the animal trail was soon discovered by hikers, including us, and widened and deepened through repeated use. We made it our own. In the words of Spanish poet Antônio Machado, “There is no path. The path is made by walking. The path is your tracks, and nothing more.”
