Bones show where the wind peeled back the old barn’s skin. More than a hundred years of history standing there — leaning, really — unperturbed by the creeping effects of aging. Droughts, wildfires, blizzards, hurricane-like chinooks have all taken a toll, but the barn keeps muscling forward, into the future. A fine role model for us who’ve begun to hear our own rafters creak.
